The Village office is open Monday through Friday.
The Village Tax bills for the Fiscal Year 2009-10 were sent out the end of May, 2009. The bills were payable without penalty for the month of June. Beginning July 2nd a 5% penalty is assessed to the base tax amount. If the tax remains unpaid beyond that point, there is an additional 1% penalty assessed to the base amount for each month the tax remains unpaid. For instance, if your tax remains unpaid in August of 09, the base amount will be assessed a 6% penalty.
If you did not pay your tax bill for either of the preceding 2 Tax Years, your 2009-10 Tax bill will have the word "ARREARS" printed at the top. Please contact the Village Office at 631-537-0017for accurate information on the amount due which would include any penalties.
